My first artist trading cards (ATC)

I decided to try my hand at making some ATC's. It was challenging because I couldn't find all the pictures and papers that I have been storing for years. They might be in my desk at the office.

I had fun making them. I have received one card in trade in the mail so far. It's pretty simple. Maybe mine are better than I thought. After I receive all 5 I will post a photo of them.

naughty kittens

Here's Buster coming out of the door of my dollhouse. Twinkle has already come out. If I made them their own little house to play in, I bet they would never go into it. They just love being naughty kittens.

It's new!

Got my new left knee last Wednesday, 7/7/2010. It was put in by Dr Gregory Stocks at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. It went smoothly as far as I know. It hurts more today than it did the day after surgery. I had a nice pain pump - all I did was press the button and the pain went away. I also had a catheter which sure was convenient. I just drank and drank water, juice, tea, etc. and didn't have to get out of bed.

I had my first physical therapy on my knee at Mem Hermann today. I had to be evaluated. After that the therapist, Carolyn was done with me. I told her that I came all way to exercise and I wanted to do some exercises. Physical therapy is the only thing that helps with the pain, now that I am out of the hospital.

July 7, 2010 - this Wednesday

The knee replacement surgery is this Wednesday. I've been trying to get me and the house prepared. I've packed my meds, living will and bag of stuff. I have to be in the hospital for 3 nights.

I've done the laundry, cleaned the coffee pot, finished my pink Elvis shirt, washed the chair covers, etc.

Jim had to go to the store by himself. I'm just exhausted.

I'm really worried about Mom. Her caregiver hasn't called me back in over a week. She is so forgetful and confused. I won't be able to take care of her for a while while I recover.
